Shavel’le Olivier is a Mattapan resident and has been active in the community since she was a teen. She has a background working with young people 14-23 through her employment at Mattapan Food and Fitness Coalition, a health and wellness organization that promotes walking and biking as a form of physical activity among other things, and DREAM, a mentoring organization that pairs youth 18 and under with a young adult from a nearby university. In regards to transportation, Shavel’le co-founded Mattapan on Wheels in 2011, a youth led cycling event created to bring awareness to the city that Mattapan does bike, helped youth create and implement bike workshops in Mattapan in 2019, and founded and co-created a conversation series called Transportation Talks in 2020 geared towards those who live in Mattapan, Dorchester, and Roxbury to explore the intersection between transportation and other factors that affect quality of life. Shavel’le has a growing background in community engagement through the organizations above including LivableStreets Alliance where she co-led two Street Ambassador deployments to engage residents about the Cummins Highway, American Legion Highway, Warren Street, and Malcolm X Boulevard street redesigns. Shavel'le has received her B.S from Boston College in Marketing/Management and Leadership, her Masters from Northeastern University in Non-Profit/Organizational Management, and will soon have completed a graduate certificate in Public Health from Boston University.

Chavella Lee-Pacheco is a dynamic and creative strategist with extensive experience in project management, community engagement, and social impact. Her work centers on designing transparent, inclusive processes that connect individuals, institutions, and ideas to drive equitable climate and community outcomes.
With a background in environmental justice, urban planning, and youth engagement, Chavella is known for translating complex goals into actionable strategies and leading multi-stakeholder projects that center trust, creativity, and accountability. She specializes in developing innovative engagement methods that elevate historically disenfranchised voices while producing meaningful data to inform policy and planning decisions.
Across sectors and geographies, Chavella brings a relationship-driven approach to problem-solving—bridging community knowledge with institutional frameworks to create solutions that are both scalable and deeply rooted in equity.
She self-describes as an American recipe, and one branch of her family tree can be traced back 4 generations in Boston. In her free time, she enjoys roller skating at Chez Vous, eating farm-to-table meals, and reading sci-fi books to her sons.
